2015 is nearly here!

Not long now!

It’s now just 6 weeks to go until the opening race of the 2015 BRSCC MX5 SuperCup season which will take place on the Silverstone National Circuit.

With plenty of new and experienced MX5 mk3 racers now registered for the 2015 championship this coming season promises to be one of the most competitive SuperCup years so far. Not only do we already have 25 drivers registered for the one make Mazda championship but a number of past campaigners, new faces and one lucky Blendini Motorsport  scholarship winner are expected to add their names to the list of 2015 title hopefuls in the coming weeks.

Further meeting format details have emerged from Championship coordinator Drew Furlong at the BRSCC:

“...all double header events (except Rockingham) will have a practice session, qualifying session and two races. All sessions are of 20 minute duration. All triple header events (Cadwell, Croft and Donington) will have a qualifying session and 3 races, again all 20 minutes.”

All of this means plenty of track time for the drivers at every meeting and there is of course the special treat of supporting the prestigious British GT Championship at the Rockingham round on the May Bank holiday weekend.

Driver and Teams are now in the final stages of car preparation and testing before the opening meeting, you can keep up to date with goings on away from the circuit by following MX5 SuperCup twitter account:
