With the start of the new motorsport season just around the corner, what better way to banish those winter blues than a visit to Autosport International? Once again the BRSCC’s popular championship for Mk3 Mazda MX-5s will have a strong presence at the show, which opens at the NEC on Thursday (January 12).

Whether it’s a chance to catch up with friends and rivals from years gone by, or to sign up for the upcoming season, the event is a great opportunity for drivers old and new to discuss all things MX-5 SuperCup.

This year you will find us on the prestigious BRSCC stand in Hall 7 for the four-day event, come and say hello to championship co-ordinator Mandy Andrew and experienced SuperCup racers Tom Roche and Ray Worley.

The enthusiastic trio, along with a whole host of BRSCC personnel will be on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding the championship. From regulation and car construction advice, to the availability of race-ready racers to purchase or hire, our friendly and knowledgeable team can help you join the grid.

There will also be the chance to check out the Mazda racer driven by Paul O’Neill last season. Over the past three years the former BTCC ace and TV presenter has been an occasional SuperCup competitor and describes the BRSCC’s series as ‘one of the best championships in the UK’.

He said: “I find the standard of the drivers in this championship to be very good. Tom Roche is probably the best driver I’ve ever driven against in a club championship. In fact he’s as good as many of the national drivers I raced against professionally.”

So if you’re looking for a race series that’s 'as competitive as the Clio Cup or anything else that’s on the TOCA package, for a fraction of the budget', take Paul’s advice and come to race MX-5s with the BRSCC.

2016 was undoubtedly an epic year for the MX-5 SuperCup and 2017 is shaping up to be even better, so make sure you visit stand 7030 to find out what one of UK motorsport’s true success stories can offer.
